Salesforce Connector grants you instant access to your business workflows by connecting Lark and Salesforce. Salesforce Connector enables you to do the following without leaving Lark:
- •Search your Salesforce records (opportunities, leads, contacts, accounts, etc.) by typing a command or using the search field;
- •Click Follow to follow a record. After following, you can receive notifications related to the record in your Salesforce account;
- •Share record information to chats.
You can install the Salesforce Connector app from the Lark App Directory. In case you see an alert that Salesforce Connector hasn't been enabled or installed in your organization, contact your administrator to enable it for your tenant. Note: To use the Salesforce Connector, you must have a Salesforce account to connect to.
Working with Salesforce Connector
- 1.Connecting with Salesforce
To get started, authorize the Salesforce Connector to access your Salesforce account.
Search Salesforce Connector in Lark to have a chat with the bot.
Click Connect with Salesforce in the welcome message to open the account authorization page in the sidebar.
Note: You can also type @Salesforce Connector
in the chat, and click Connect with Salesforce in the message card to enter the authorization page.
Additionally, you can click the "+" menu in the chat and select Salesforce Connector to enter the authorization page.
Click Authorize, enter your Salesforce username and password, and grant access to Salesforce Connector. You'll receive a message from the Salesforce Connector once it is successfully set up.
- 2.Viewing and searching records
Type @Salesforce Connector
in the chat and click Search in the message card. Switch between the tabs to view the record lists of your Opportunities, Leads, Accounts and Contacts in Salesforce. You can also use the search field to search for records.
You can view and search records by clicking the "+" menu in the chat and selecting Salesforce Connector too.
Additionally, you can search records via the search <keyword>
command. For example, send @Salesforce Connector search "edge
" in chat.
Use the buttons in the returned message to filter search results by record types.
Under each record, select Share to send the information to your Lark contacts or groups, and select Follow to get notified on changes in your chat with Salesforce Connector.
You can also select Follow to follow the records. Once the records you are following are updated, you'll get notified in your Salesforce feed.
The Info sidebar also provides the following features:
- •To navigate to this article, select View help docs.

- •To disconnect your Salesforce account, select Disconnect.
- 5.Disconnecting your account
Select disconnect to disconnect your Salesforce account.

Q: Can I add the Salesforce Connector bot to group chats?
A: Yes. Open a group chat, click Settings - BOTs - Add Bots and select the Salesforce Connector bot to add it to your group. The function and commands are the same as used in a private chat.
Q: Can standard members (non-administrative users) sign in to Salesforce via Salesforce Connector?
A: Yes, they can sign in to their Salesforce account and use the Salesforce Connector.
