I. Introduction
Video meetings can be livestreamed to reach millions of people. Once the host starts livestreaming, employees of the same company as the host can open the livestream link in the browser, log in with their Lark account, and watch the meeting livestream.
Notes: Minimum app versions required for livestreaming:
- •V3.20.5 on Windows and Mac
- •V3.20.7 on Android
- •V3.20.9 on iOS
To start livestreaming, all participants must use the Lark app and their app versions must meet the minimum requirements mentioned above.
II. Instructions
1. Start livestreaming
Note: You can only start livestreaming in a video meeting. One-on-one calls cannot be livestreamed.
Step 1: Start a meeting through the following 3 methods:
Method 1: Click the "+" icon above your feed. Select New Meeting > Meet now.
Method 2: Open the group chat you want to start a meeting in. Click the Video Meeting icon at the top right. Select Meet now.
Method 3: Click an event in Calendar. Click the Join video conference icon on the event card.
Step 2: When the meeting is created, click the More icon in the control bar and select Start livestreaming. All participants will receive a request to livestream the meeting. If all participants give their consent, livestreaming will begin.
Ask host to livestream a meeting
Meeting participants can click Ask host to livestream to send a request to livestream the meeting. If the host approves the request and all participants give their consent, livestreaming will begin.
Copy livestream link
All participants can copy the livestream link by clicking the More icon in the control bar and selecting Copy livestream link. When the host starts a livestream, the link is also automatically copied to their clipboard.

Choose a livestream layout
When starting a livestream or during the livestream, the host can choose different layouts for the livestream.
Currently, sidebar, gallery, and full screen layouts are available. If content is being shared, the default layout is sidebar.
- •Sidebar: Ideal for remote training and online events.
- •Gallery: Ideal for webinars and discussion groups. Up to 9 participant videos can be shown at a time.
- •Full screen: Ideal for classes and presentations. The speaker's video takes up the entire screen

- 4. Watch meeting livestream
To watch a livestream, open the link in a web browser and log in using your Lark account.
While livestreaming
Once livestreaming starts, all participants will see a green live icon and the number of live viewers in the top left corner.
New participants will be asked to give their consent before joining a meeting that is being livestreamed.
Participate in a live chat
While watching the livestream, viewers can choose to log in to their Lark account and participate in the live chat for the livestream. Live chat messages sent by viewers on the web are synced to the chat in the call or meeting being livestreamed, so participants can see them as well.
Report a live chat message
On desktop, click the More icon to the right of the live chat message you'd like to report. Click Report.
On mobile, tap the live chat message you'd like to report. Tap Report.
Once a message is reported, the meeting host will receive a notification that shows the username of the person who reported the message, the username of the reported person, the reported message, and the time when the message was sent. The host can choose to ban the reported person from messaging, delete the reported message, or ignore the report.
- 5.Stop livestreaming
To stop livestreaming, the host can click the More icon in the control bar and select Stop livestreaming. All participants will be notified when the livestream stops.

- 6.Livestream a Calendar event
You can generate a livestream link before an event starts to share with people in advance.
To livestream a Calendar event:
Step 1: Create an event in Calendar and invite guests.
Step 2: Join the video meeting from the event, copy the livestream link, and then end the meeting.
Step 3: Share the livestream link and time with anyone who is welcome to watch the livestream.
Step 4: Before the event starts, join the video meeting and adjust your microphone and camera.
Step 5: When it's time for the event to start, click the More icon in the control bar and select Start livestreaming.
Step 6: People who have the livestream link can open it in a web browser, log in to their accounts and watch the livestream.
III. FAQ
Q: Who can watch meeting livestreams?
A: Only users from the same enterprise as the host can watch meeting livestreams.
Q: What can livestream viewers see?
A: Livestream viewers can see the video of meeting participants and the shared screen.
Q: Can livestream viewers participate in a meeting?
A: No. Livestream viewers can only watch the meeting livestream.
Q: What happens if the person who starts livestreaming is no longer the host?
A: If the original host makes a participant who is part of the same enterprise the new host, the livestream will continue. If the host leaves the meeting unexpectedly, the system will automatically assign a new host. If there's no participant who is part of the same enterprise as the original host in the meeting, the livestream will stop.
Q: Can I share my screen or a document while the meeting is being livestreamed?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: How many people can watch the meeting livestream at the same time?
A: The meeting livestream supports millions of viewers.
Q: Can people in the same company livestream multiple meetings as the same time?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I generate a livestream link before I start a meeting?
