Scenario: Plan and conduct interviews with potential hires
Features: Calendar, Messenger, and Meetings
Don't let distance get in the way of recruitment even when your team is working from home. Lark can be used to conduct remote interviews, saving candidates commuting time and trouble. Lark Calendar lets you quickly schedule interviews while Meetings allow you to communicate.
📅 Schedule interviews in 1 minute
You can use Lark Calendar to check when interviewers have free time to conduct interviews before confirming interview time slots with candidates. When a time has been agreed upon, create an event and invite interviewers to join the event via Calendar. Interviewers will receive an invitation containing event details from the Calendar Assistant. They'll also receive customized reminders a few minutes prior to the interview start time.
👫 Start group interviews in a single click
To invite candidates to Lark, you can click the + icon beside the search bar on the desktop app, then select Add Contacts to add external contacts. Enter the candidates' phone number to send them a SMS notification. Candidates will then be able to add you on Lark after they've successfully downloaded it.
Before the interview begins, you can create a group with both the interviewer and the candidate. To start the interview, the interviewer can click Video Call within the group to begin the remote interview. When the interview is over, remember to disband the group to protect the interviewer's personal information.
Note: You'll need to create a new group as external contacts can't be added to existing member-only groups. To do so, click the + icon on the desktop app, select New Group, then invite both the interviewer and candidate to the group.
💻 Complete tests in a video meeting
Interviewers can use Docs to facilitate tests they need candidates to complete during the recruitment process.
Before an interview begins, the interviewer can create a new Doc containing test questions for the candidate to answer. Next, the interviewer use Magic Share to share the test document and select anyone with the link can edit. During the interview, click Share content to send the candidate the Doc. The candidate can click View at your own pace in the toolbar to respond to test questions in the Doc.
Note: Both the interviewer and candidate have to use Lark V.3.16.1 or above for this functionality. When the test ends, remember to restrict document permissions so candidates can't revise their responses retrospectively.
👨💼Use video conference to interview
The interviewer can start a video conference on the agreed schedule, and communicate with the interviewee in real time. If there is a demand, after informing the interviewee, the interviewer can start to record the interview to help other interviewers and HR observe the interviewee's performance.
If you need to host a group interview, simply create a schedule on Lark Calendar and initiate a video conference on time. During the interview process, the interviewer can choose to Mute all, and only unmute the candidates who need to answer each time.
If a group discussion is arranged, the interviewer can use Magic Share to share the topic document and set a discussion time. All group members can discuss and edit the document, while the interviewer can observe their performance and contribution. The interviewer can also Turn subtitles on to automatically see who is speaking.
