Q: How can I create a group?
A: In a private chat, click Settings in the upper right corner and then + New Group and select colleagues to join the group.
You can also directly create a group by clicking the + icon above your feed menu and select New Group. After filling in the group name and selecting group members, a new group will be create successfully.
Q: How can I build groups across companies?
A: First please make sure that all members you want to invite have registered their Lark account. Next, you need to add all external members as contacts, and then you can start to create a group across companies.
Q: Do I need to add new colleagues to the department group?
A: If the colleague has already been a member of the department in the organizational structure, they will be automatically added to the department group, and there is no need to manually add them into the department group.
Q: How can I add external personnel into a group?
A: First you need to add them as external contacts and then follow the steps of creating a group.
Note: Currently you cannot add an external contact to a group which consists of internal members. If you need to add external personnel, please invite them when you create the group. Once they are added, you will see a red "External" tag on the right of your group name.
Q: Can I make a private group public?
A: Sorry, currently this feature is not supported. If you need a public group, please set it when you create it.
