I. Overview
Overtime management can help you achieve the personalized settings of overtime rules and do the calculation and conversion of overtime duration.
You can flexibly configure different overtime rules for the workday, day off, and holiday:
1. Whether to allow employees to work overtime under these date types.
2. Calculation methods:
- Count approved overtime hours as overtime
- Count the overtime hours shown on the attendance record as overtime
- When the overtime hours are within the attendance record, count the duration between clock-in time and clock-out time as overtime
3. Deduct breaks: the overtime hours can exclude the breaks
4. Conversion methods:
- Count overtime hours as overtime pay
- Count overtime hours as compensatory duration
- Count overtime hours as overtime pay or compensatory duration

III. Shift time
You need to set shifts for Fixed Shift and Scheduled Shift. The relationship between the shift time and the calculation of overtime hours will be introduced as follows.
1. Flextime: The system does not count the duration within the flextime range that does not exceed the working hours on the current day as overtime hours.
For example, you set 9:00 - 18:00 as the working hours and 1 hour as the flextime.
- If employees work from 10:00 to 19:00, the system does not count the duration between 10:00 and 19:00 as overtime hours
- If employees work from 9:00 to 19:00, the overtime hours should be up to 1 hour (based on administrators' settings)
2. Leave late and arrive late (only available for Fixed Shift): The system does not count the duration within the valid range of leave late and arrive late that does not exceed the working hours on the current day as overtime hours.
For example, you set 9:00 - 18:00 as the working hours and allow employees to arrive 1 hour late if they leave 3 hours late on the previous day.
- If employees leave at 21:00 and arrive at 10:00 on the next day, the system does not count the duration between 18:00 and 21:00 as overtime hours
- If employees leave at 21:00 and arrive at 9:00 on the next day, the overtime hours should be up to 3 hours (based on administrators' settings)
