This article describes how to transfer employee data and handle offboardings in Lark Admin. Super administrators can transfer resources under an offboarding employee to other employees in advance to prevent loss of valid business data and resources.
When handling the offboarding procedure for a specified user, the super administrator can transfer resources (such as Docs and calendars) under the offboarding employee to other users in the team.
1. Individual offboarding
1.1 Go to the Handle Offboarding page
Go to Lark Admin and click Organization - Member and Department. Then click the popup button on the right side of the offboarding user and select Terminate to go to the Handle Offboarding page.
Note: The offboarding action cannot be undone. Please proceed with caution.
1.2 Transfer user resources
On the Handle Offboarding page, configure how to handle resources under the user:
- •Transfer to another user
Click Transfer to other users, and select the resources to transfer and their recipients.
Note: If the user is the owner of an "app", the app must be transferred. Otherwise the app will be unavailable.
If you select Delete, all the resources under the user will be deleted. For company information security concerns, resources in the form of Docs are reserved by default, while other resources can't be recovered once deleted. Please proceed with caution.
You can click Settings to set whether to reserve or delete Docs by default. You can restore a deleted Doc within 90 days after deletion.
1.3 Complete offboarding
After you modify the settings of handling resources, click Confirm to bring the offboarding action into effect. At this time, the user will be removed from the team. After an employee is offboarded, you can go to Organization - Member and Department and click Offboarded members in the upper-right corner to view the offboarding records of the employee.
- •The offboarding records contain the offboarding date, former department, and resource transfer records for the offboarded employee.
- •If Docs resources are configured to be deleted upon offboarding, you can recover them within 90 days after deletion on the Offboarding Details page. You must specify a member in the team as the recipient of the resources at the recovery.
2. Batch offboarding
The administrator can go to Organization - Member and Department, check multiple users and click the Handle offboarding button in the upper-right corner to offboard multiple users. Likewise, resources under offboarding users must be transferred in advance.
3. Transfer resources under non-offboarding employees
3.1 Go to the Transfer Resources page
Go to Lark Admin and click Organization - Member and Department. Then click the popup button on the right side of the user you want to transfer resources from and select Transfer resources to go to the Transfer Resources page.
3.2 Transfer resources to the recipient
On the Transfer Resources page, select the resources to transfer and specify a recipient. Then, click Confirm to transfer resources.
