With Zoom Connector, you can easily initiate and manage Zoom meetings in Lark.
Context
Zoom Connector offers Zoom's video communication and conference services on Lark. You can easily initiate multi-person meetings on Lark and collaborate anytime, anywhere. By adding Zoom Connector to a group chat, you can directly implement the following:
- •Start a Zoom meeting
- •Schedule a Zoom meeting
- •Join a Zoom meeting initiated by others
- •View the list of Zoom meetings you have scheduled
Note: Before using the Zoom Connector, you need to have a registered Zoom account for connection.
How to use Zoom in Lark
Connecting with Zoom
Log in to your Zoom account and authorize Zoom Connector.
Search for Zoom Connector in Lark and open the chat window. Send the
login
command and click the Log in button in the reply message of Zoom Connector to enter Zoom login page.Please log in to your Zoom account as prompted on the page and authorize the Zoom Connector.
Adding Zoom Connector to group chats
Add Zoom Connector to your group chat with your team, then you can initiate, participate in, and manage meetings at any time during daily collaboration.
Click the sidebar Settings - BOTs - Add Bot. Search for Zoom Connector and click the Add button to add Zoom Connector to a group chat.
Note: You do not necessarily need to add Zoom Connector to the group chat. You can directly initiate and manage meetings in a private chat with Zoom Connector, and share the corresponding meeting ID number with relevant teammates.
Initiating instant meetings
Send the command
@Zoom Connector start <meeting subject>
, then Zoom Connector will create a new meeting for you and send the topic and meeting ID. You and other group members can click the Join button to join the meeting directly.Note: If the meeting topic is not included in the command you sent, the meeting to will be set to "Zoom Meeting" by default.
Scheduling meetings
Send the command
@Zoom Connector schedule
, then you will receive a message to schedule the meeting. Click Schedule to open the configuration page in the sidebar. Fill in the meeting topic, date, time and time zone, and you can also set the meeting password and participation rules in the Advanced Options. Click Submit to complete the schedule.Note: If you choose to enable the function to record the meeting automatically, Zoom Connector will send the video link to the chat that created the meeting within around ten minutes after the meeting has ended. Note that this feature is only available for Zoom paid users.
After the meeting is scheduled, Zoom Connector will automatically create a Lark schedule for you and related members, and send Zoom meeting invitation to the group chat so your team members can view and accept the invitation instantly.
Note: After creating a meeting with Zoom Connector, you can view the related schedule in Lark Calendar, but you cannot edit it directly in Calendar. If you need to edit the meeting created by Zoom Connector, please see "Viewing and changing unstarted meetings" below.
Joining a meeting
Send the command
@Zoom Connector join <meeting ID>
, and click Join Now in the returned message to join a meeting.Viewing and changing unstarted meetings
Open the private chat with Zoom Connector and send the command

to view all the meetings you have scheduled but have not yet started. Click Details to open the meeting details page in the sidebar to view or change.Note:

command only supports viewing of all meetings created by the Zoom Connector, and cannot display the meetings you schedule on Zoom's official website or other platforms
Logging out of Zoom
Send the command
@Zoom Connector logout
to disconnect Zoom Connector from your Zoom account. When you use Zoom Connector the next time, you will need to log in and authorize again.FAQ
Q: When creating a meeting, I turned on the recording option. Why didn’t I receive the relevant video after the meeting?
After the meeting, please wait for about ten minutes and Zoom Connector will send the link address of the video to the chat that created this meeting.
