Email migration may experience some exceptions due to the original email service settings.
Learn how to avoid issues from such settings and how to troubleshoot some common problems.
II. Cautions
Some emails can't be migrated
Some emails may fail to be migrated because their formats aren't supported by the protocol.
Category | Description |
Drafts | Emails in the Drafts folder |
Outlook groups | Only valid for Outlook customers. Outlook groups are exclusive to Outlook and such data can't be migrated. |
Renamed folders | Emails in a renamed folder can't be migrated if you rename the folder to one of the following:

Large emails | The size of a single email (including its attachments) exceeds 150 MB |
Special emails | Example, ad emails of a special format |
Cautions for email migration
- 1.During email migration, your original mailbox will receive a notification of login from a different location. This is caused by the email migration. You can just ignore it.
- 2.Don't change your email account password. Otherwise, the email migration will fail.
- 3.During the email migration, don't move emails to other folders. Otherwise, some emails may be omitted for migration.
III. Troubleshooting
Exception shown during email migration of a member
Problem: An exception is shown during the email migration. (Usually this is caused by a change in the original email account password.)
Solution: The mailbox owner needs to go to Lark Email where a red warning bar is shown at the top. Click on the bar and re-enter the password to solve this problem.
Migration progress stuck at 0% for a long time
Refresh the page to see whether the progress is updated.
In general, you'll see progress made after 5 minutes of migration. If the progress is always 0%, please contact the email technical team.
Some emails failed to be migrated
Please check whether these emails aren't supported for migration.
