Tower Task deeply integrates with Lark as an all-in-one project management and task collaboration tool. It helps teams improve collaboration efficiency, enhance communication quality, reduce Task management difficulty, and achieve goals quickly. Unlike general project collaboration software, the deep integration with Lark enables users to easily check and manage tasks in Lark Group without opening Tower.
1. Create an Account
Administrators enter the application center from the board.
Search for Tower Task and click Get to authorize the installation of the application.
Then enable Tower Task from the application list. In addition, you need to set up application authorization for team members.
After authorization, Tower Task will automatically call the member's Lark account, and there is no need to register another account.
2. Tips for Tasks
2.1 Manage work with tasks
In Tower Task, you can quickly create and manage all of your work as tasks. For complicated work, you can further split them. Besides, teams can set a principal and deadline of task plans to clarify responsibilities. The task status displays before the task title. You can switch the task status to "Pending", "In Progress" or "Completed" (Task status can be customized).
2.2 Get task notification
You can create tasks for yourself or assign tasks to other members. You will receive a notification in your inbox when you assigned a new task.
2.3 Manage your own tasks
• Find the tasks you are responsible for under My Tasks
• Find tasks that created by you in Tasks I’ve Created
• Find tasks that you aligned with other members in Tasks I’ve Collaborated
Under My Tasks, Tower Task provides four types of default task groups. You can drag tasks into different groups to schedule your daily work. You can also click Add Group at the bottom to customize more groups.
Click on a single task to check its task details page on the right. You can modify the task information, add descriptions, and upload attachments to the page. You can also add notes to the task from the details page, and start group chats with task collaborators in Lark.
- 3.Tips for Tasks and Projects
3.1 Create a project
A project is the collection of tasks that can be added to the same project in the same department or the same scenario. With the project you can not only manage the published tasks in a more organized way, but also grasp the progress of everyone’s work. Create project is at the bottom left of the page.
3.2 Manage tasks in projects
You can create tasks in the project, or add tasks from other places to the project. You can find the project to which it belongs on the task details page. You can also create task groups in the project to further classify tasks.
3.3 Custom fields
In the project, you can fill in customize fields for tasks. The fields can be displayed directly in the project to make task information more precise.
3.4 Project templates
To help users get started quickly, Tower Task provides dozens of templates from R&D management, marketing operations to product design, demand management, etc. These templates integrate with different types of business scenes and can be used immediately. Users can also personalize project templates for their team to boost team collaboration efficiency.
You can also create project templates for your team to enrich your multi-version collaborations.
- 4.Project Group Management
4.1 Monitoring projects
The project group empowers members to focus on risk and resource allocation of teamwork. It helps you monitor the processing status of both projects and members.
A project group consists a group of multiple projects.
4.2 Control member workload
You can view the workload and working status of team members by selecting "Workload" from the project group. Click on Members to view the specific tasks they are responsible for. This feature helps you focus on the perspective of members and make timely adjustments to the task schedule.
4.3 Display Project process
Select Progress, the essential information of each project, including project status the risk situation, and the completion of the milestones can all be seen at a glance. If necessary, you can also add custom fields for the project, such as priority, etc.
4.4 View Project Status
Click on the project name to expand the progress details page. Here you can fill in project information, view historical developments, set milestones, and update project status.
Unlike general project collaboration software, Tower Task deeply integrates with Lark. In many cases, you can easily view and manage tasks in Lark without opening Tower Task.
When you create a project, Tower Task will automatically add project members into a group chat and update the status of tasks synchronically. You can also directly manage the project through Tower Task BOT, @Tower Task BOT to call the project feature.
As for team discussion, click Group chat at the bottom of the task details page to create a group chat for a specific task. The content of the discussion will be recorded in notes.
To add discussion content as a task during group discussions without missing any information, you could:
• Click "..." on the right side of the chat text to directly set the text as the title of a new task
• Click " + " at the bottom menu of the dialog box to directly set the text as the title of a new task
After the creation of a new task, you can send the task card to the dialog window to ensure that the new task created for both parties is consistent.
Meanwhile, the task description and attachments of Tower also support connection with Lark's cloud, which make content adding more flexible.
