Note: This feature is only available for Enterprise version E2 and E5 and is currently available for tenant creator/super administrator only. If you'd like to activate this feature, please contact support or Sales Manager.
In order to enhance security measures and prevent the leakage of internal data, Lark is now providing a feature for companies to filter sensitive words and intercept messages that may contain sensitive data. The administrator will be able to set sensitive words, which will be intercepted if sent through private chat, group chat, or within topic group.
- 1.Open Lark Admin and click Security > Advanced Data Protection > Sensitive word filter.
- 2.Click Add sensitive words in the upper-right corner and enter one word at a time. Press Enter to generate each sensitive word. The administrator can choose to add sensitive words individually or in batches. After adding, click Confirm to generate a record of sensitive words. The administrator can also delete sensitive words or other entries.
Note: Each sensitive word cannot be longer than 20 characters. A maximum of 50 sensitive words can be added per batch and a tenant can add a maximum of 1000 sensitive words.
- 3.When a member triggers any sensitive word recorded within private chat, group chat, or topic group, the message will be intercepted. The member will be unable to send the message containing the sensitive word, and receive any of the following prompts: Unable to send, content includes sensitive words.
Note: If a member has any questions regarding why a message cannot be sent, the administrator should check whether or not this message contains a sensitive word.
- 4.On the Sensitive word filter page, the administrator can view the number of times each sensitive word was triggered in the last 30 days.
Will an image containing sensitive words be intercepted?
Currently only text messages will be intercepted. We are currently working on image recognition, so please stay tuned for further updates.
How do I apply sensitive word filters for cross-organization communication?
In cases of cross-organizational communication, messages containing sensitive words will be intercepted according to the sender organization's sensitive word list. However, there are no restrictions on the receipt end.
