With Image in cell, you can insert images into sheets on mobile. That is, an image can be embedded into a cell and its size changes with the cell size. You can insert only one image in each cell and can’t insert text to that cell simultaneously.
Insert image in cell
- •Method 1: Tap the keyboard-like icon at the bottom of the page and select the Image icon. Slide to the right to select an image to add, or tap the second gallery icon to choose from a greater range of images. If you need a clearer image, tap Full-size image. You can insert this image into a cell.
- •Method 2: Tap Toolbox in the lower right corner. Then tap Insert > Image and select an image to add.
Copy, cut, paste, and delete images
Hold the image and tap Copy, then hold the cell to which you want to add a copy of the image and tap Paste.
Similar as in the previous step, hold the image and tap Cut, then hold the cell to which you want to add a copy of the image. Tap Paste to move the image from the previous cell to the newly selected cell.
View full-size images
Hold the image, then tap View full-size image.
Hold the image to display the black Toolbar, then tap the Arrow to move to the next column. Tap Clear to delete the image.
How many cell images can be inserted into a single cell?
Only one cell image can be inserted into a single cell.
How can I display the full image in a cell?
An image will always be displayed in full in a cell. The cell is adjusted according to the size of the image.
How can I display images and text in the same cell?
This function is not available on mobile.
Can I batch insert images?
No, batch inserting images isn't supported for the time being.
