Before implementing Lark, Journey Kaffe's team relied on LINE, the instant messaging app, for daily work communication. However, this resulted in important tasks being overlooked.
Too many spreadsheets: Daily tasks such as inspections, maintenance, and defect reporting were managed manually on Excel sheets instead. Store teams struggled to keep track, and without automated reminders, requests slipped through the cracks.
Lost track in messages: Store employees, especially new ones, often find themselves lost in countless new messages. Without access to the full chat history, they struggle to catch up on what they need to do and where they can find resources.

Before Lark, the Journey Kaffe team and its owner had to go through a lot of Excel exercises just to get a much-delayed revenue report. Today, the four stores have replaced Excel with Lark Base and collect accurate weekly revenue numbers using a single table.

This makes it easy for managers to stay on top of sales trends on their laptops or phones, without having to call each store for details.

On Lark, the HR team at Journey Kaffe helps employees get rid of the message flooding they previously struggled with and find what they need easily. The team organizes company resources such as the employee handbook and vacation policies using Lark Wiki. They then connect the online documents with their own Lark Lingo.
This way, when employees send messages with relevant keywords like "vacations," the word becomes clickable automatically, listing out relevant vacation policies and the application entrance. Senior staff can greatly save time on onboarding and training newcomers with this smart help.
