On March 27, 2025, Lark proudly hosted the first-ever Lark Global Base Maker Day in Vietnam, marking a significant milestone in our journey to build an international Base Maker community. This event was not only our first attempt to foster a global network of Base enthusiasts but also our inaugural international in-person gathering. The results exceeded all expectations, showcasing the creativity, dedication, and passion of our users worldwide.
A Global Event with Local Impact
In just one month after announcing the event, we saw an overwhelming response: 43 teams from 11 countries registered, contributing nearly 50 localized Base solutions. Among them, 9 teams from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam joined us in person, while 6 online teams competed virtually for the top prize. The event also attracted the attention of over 160 companies and organizations, with the Base Maker community growing to nearly 300 members.
Showcasing the Power of Base
The finals were a testament to the versatility and potential of Lark’s Base platform. Participants demonstrated innovative applications of Base across various industries and use cases:
- Tech experts used Base as a foundational database to build personalized websites.
- Administrative and HR teams developed solutions for training, performance, and compliance management, leveraging integrations and AI fields.
- Small businesses managed their entire operations on a single Base.
- Large enterprises organized over 700 local stores using Base for streamlined operations.
The creativity and depth of understanding displayed by the participants truly inspired us, proving that Base is more than just a tool—it’s a platform for innovation.
Dedication and Collaboration
What touched us the most was the dedication and love our users showed for Base. Two days before the finals, all participants and speakers gathered on-site for a full day of rehearsals, working tirelessly from 9 AM to 9 PM to refine their presentations. Their commitment didn’t stop there—overnight, teams revised their materials, demos, and timing based on feedback, ensuring a flawless showcase during the finals.
